Overview

The InCanadaLife Admin Dashboard was designed as an internal platform to help editors manage articles, streamline publishing, and monitor performance in real time.The goal was to create a clean, intuitive interface that simplifies daily editorial tasks, supports AI-assisted content generation, and visualizes key engagement metrics — all within a consistent design system shared with the main news website.

Discovery & Research

Interviewed editors and contributors to identify pain points in publishing workflow.

Analyzed admin dashboards from Medium, Substack, and WordPress.

Defined use cases: “Create & Publish Article”, “Generate Post”, “Track Performance”.

User Flow

The user flow illustrates how Admins, Editors, and Contributors navigate the InCanadaLife Admin Dashboard from creating and reviewing articles to publishing and analyzing performance ensuring a clear, efficient, and role-based content workflow.

Key Features

The Admin Dashboard includes a clean, role-based interface for creating, editing, scheduling, and publishing articles; integrated AI tools for generating summaries and posts; a search and filter system by title, author, and status; real-time analytics with engagement charts; and a unified design system shared with the public news website for a consistent brand experience.

Results & Impact

  • 60% faster publishing workflow through unified platform;
  • 40% reduction in manual post creation with AI tools;
